04 December 2024
Cape Town is ready to welcome the world this holiday season, offering unforgettable experiences and world-class attractions for every visitor. With our vibrant city, breathtaking landscapes, and warm hospitality, this festive season promises to be one to remember.
Cape
Town International Airport is buzzing with a record-breaking 226 weekly
international flights, while the cruise terminal is set to host 88 ship visits
during the 2024/2025 cruise season. These milestones reflect Cape Town’s
growing status as a global tourism hotspot.
‘Cape
Town’s tourism industry continues to go from strength to strength, thanks to a
focussed, multi-pronged strategy between the City government and our partners.
‘Our
efforts prioritise air route expansion, airline partnerships, and cruise
tourism to attract both domestic and international travellers. These impressive
numbers confirm the success of our collaborative approach,’ said Alderman James
Vos, Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth.
A
city ready for visitors
To
ensure a seamless experience for all visitors, Alderman Vos recently conducted
site inspections at Visitor Experience Centres located at Cape Town International
Airport, City Hall, and mobile units across the city.
‘Operated
by Cape Town Tourism (CTT), these centres are hubs of activity and vital
resources for visitors. Whether it’s booking tours, finding insider tips from
our friendly staff, or discovering hidden gems, these centres make exploring
Cape Town easier and more enjoyable,’ said Alderman Vos.
A
warm welcome awaits

explore our incredible city,’ said Alderman Vos.
Tools
for exploration
The
Cape Town Visitor Guide, produced in partnership with Cape Town Tourism, is an
essential tool for discovering the Mother City’s treasures. Packed with insider

Driving
economic growth
Tourism
continues to play a vital role in Cape Town’s economy, and visitors play a key
role in this success. By enjoying Cape Town's attractions, dining at our
